PHILIP J. JAMESON
1930 (7/22) born Fall River, Massachusetts
1948–1952 Tufts College
1952–1956 Tufts University School of Medicine
1957–1960 Radiology residency, with Board certification in Radiology
1960–1992 clinical radiology practice
1970 Began to study and practice black and white fine art photography by reading texts and studying published and exhibited images of photography's modernist masters. Format was incrementally increased in size from 35mm to the currently preferred format of 8"x10."
1980–1990 Yearly summer workshops, Fred Picker, Dummerston, VT.
1989–1992 Advanced small-group workshops (as student and subsequently as teacher), American Southwest and New England, with Gary E. Adams or Joseph B. Englander, both former teaching assistants of Ansel Adams.
